City Island Civic Association

The monthly meeting of the City Island Civic Assn will take place this coming
Tuesday, July 26 @ 7:30 PM. It will be held in the usual location, the Community
Center. It will be much cooler by then, I promise, so come on out.

The City Island Civic Association’s June meeting will be held on June 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Center at 190 Fordham Street.

There are several items that we will be discussing this month in addition to our usual committee reports from our development, crime, traffic, and quality-of-life committees.

An update will be given regarding our efforts to oppose the design of the new City Island bridge.

HERE WE GO AGAIN….

The May Meeting of the City Island Civic Association will take place on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at 7:30 pm at 190 Fordham Street. We welcome your input and attendance and we need your help.

Attached is an Engine and Ladder Company Analysis report from the NYFD. The figures for Ladder company 53 show that if the fire house were closed, response time would go from 4:44 to 9:49.

The April 2011 Meeting of the City Island Civic Association will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at 190 Fordham Street. We hope you can attend.

Our guest at this meeting, barring any last minute emergencies, will be Captain Russell Green, The Commanding Officer of the 45th Precinct. Captain Green has been at the 45th since last fall, he has already been very responsive to our concerns. Please bring your concerns regarding police issues.
