The City Island Civic Association’s June meeting will be held on June 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Center at 190 Fordham Street.
There are several items that we will be discussing this month in addition to our usual committee reports from our development, crime, traffic, and quality-of-life committees.
An update will be given regarding our efforts to oppose the design of the new City Island bridge.
A select group of our officers is meeting with the owners of Seafood City along with the 45th Precinct’s Commanding Officer and Senator Klein’s office. If anyone has a noise complaint, it should be called into 311 immediately; then please send your reference number to city.island.civic@mac.com andcao45pct@aol.com. We can and will follow up on your behalf. If you witness a crime-in-progress, that is a 911 call; do not call 311!
Thank you to every City Islander who attended the Town Meeting on the 14th with Council member Vacca. With a crowd of over 300 people, you helped show how deeply we all care about this situation. We expect to be victorious in this fight, yet we are prepared to fight against next year’s budget cuts if need be.
Updates will be given on the City Island camera project and the Belden Point reconstruction plans.
We look forward to seeing you there and feel free to bring your concerns
